Obesity

Obesity – Excess Body Weight Disorder, Naturally Treatable

What is Obesity?

Obesity is a health condition in which excess body fat accumulates to a level that affects physical health, metabolism, and overall well-being. It increases the risk of diabetes, heart disease, joint problems, and hormonal imbalance. Obesity usually develops gradually due to unhealthy diet habits, poor digestion, and lack of physical activity.

In Ayurveda, obesity is called Atisthaulya, caused by imbalance of Kapha dosha and weak digestive fire (Mandagni), leading to excess accumulation of fat tissue (Meda dhatu).
