Migraine – Recurrent Headache Disorder, Naturally Treatable
What is Migraine?
Migraine is a neurological disorder characterized by recurrent, moderate to severe headaches, often on one side of the head. It may be accompanied by nausea, sensitivity to light or sound, and visual disturbances. Migraine can interfere significantly with daily activities and quality of life.
In Ayurveda, migraine is known as Shirashool or Ardhavabhedaka, caused mainly by imbalance of Vata and Pitta dosha, leading to disturbance in the nervous and vascular system of the head.
Symptoms of Migraine
Migraine symptoms may vary from person to person and can occur in episodes. Common symptoms include:
Throbbing or pulsating headache
